Button got 11.33/7.44/3.0AF and 33.33 Steal over 309 hands

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
5 folds, Button raises, Hero calls, BB folds.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5SB, 2 players)

Hero?

Is this a check/fold or what? I really hate blind defending and I dont have a clue what to do when you miss, always fold seem a little weak to do or? Sometimes my clever little brain tells me that the other guy is probably bluffing and I go on some sort of berzerk with some raises and then calling him down leaving me with lots of money in the pot and no decent cards at all.

You have 2 outs (BDFD and weak BDSD) in a tiny pot. You're behind to any pocket pair, any A/Q/4, and some better straight draws. Check/fold.

As Xhad said.

Just calling in the SB is rarely correct in this situation. If you are going to play your hand you should 3-bet to force out the BB for the dead money and you don't want to have to outdraw 2 players. Just calling usually gives the BB proper odds to call.

You will have a lot of fold equity when you 3-bet thus forcing the btn to hit something on the flop. When he doesn't, you can very often win the pot with a CB.

3bet preflop.

Should have said this myself. 3-betting PF is definitely better than calling, assuming you fire on the flop no matter what comes. As played, though, fold flop.
