Re: Ak with 47 BB Mega Pot
[ QUOTE ]
Hm, ok, he probably holds a very big pocket pair. [/ QUOTE ] Right, UTG+1 almost always has AA or (more rarely) KK here. If he holds AA, you're drawing just about dead. If he holds KK, you can win if you spike an ace. I'd count your overcards at about 1.5 outs here (total, not apiece). You also have a very weak backdoor straight draw worth another 0.5 outs, for a total of about 2. By the time the action gets back to you on the flop, there's 33 SB in the pot and you have to call 2 bets to stay in, so 16.5:1 odds, and the raising may not be over. I'd fold here, but it's close. You can sort of justify seeing the turn because the pot is so huge and the read on UTG+1 might be off--he could just be a raise-crazed idiot and you might have more than 2 outs. On the other hand, MP3 seems to also really like their hand, and that helps to negate the "bad read" possibility. At any rate, either check/call or check/fold the flop and re-evaluate from there. By the end of the hand, UTG+1's river call screams AA to me(as as does the limp/reraise preflop, of course). He's think's you've been check/raising and betting with KK on previous streets and fears you just made a set, but the pot is too big for him to fold. |

Re: Ak with 47 BB Mega Pot
Wow!
I dont see why you. 1. Cold call the first 2 bets on the flop. 2. Cap the flop 3. Check raise the turn. 4. Donk the river. Since I run bad, I my heart says I fold preflop once its capped behind me. Brain would probably step in though and convince me to play it. |

Re: Ak with 47 BB Mega Pot

Yo, I really have no clue how to play such a hand right. What should I've done on the flop, turn, river instead? [/ QUOTE ] You essentially went crazy with AK on a flop that has been limp/RR and capped by two different opponents. You have to think of what sort of hands they have. What is the range you put them on? What part of their range are you ahead of? |

I haven't seen that many LRRs in limit but when I have, they have often been suited cards looking to make a big pot. In NL, yes, AA/KK every time, but in limit I'd want to see more action before I was certain it was the big pair. This would of course depend on the player. |
