The idiots on local radio were trying to tell me that tickets for the [censored] seats were 200 a pop. Confirm/Deny?

[/ QUOTE ]

Dids, deny - cheapies were $50, depending on the section. Tix were $50-250 depending on section. 200 from a scalper i imagine.

I will read the post before replying next time.

Looks like the Vancouver concert had an identical playlist:

Playlist:
Message In A Bottle
Synchronicity II
Spirits in the Material World
Voices Inside My Head
When The World Is Running Down (You Make the Best of What’s Still Around)
Don’t Stand So Close To Me
Driven To Tears
Walking On the Moon
Truth Hits Everybody
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Wrapped Around Your Finger
The Bed’s Too Big Without You
Murder By Numbers
De Doo Doo Doo De Da Da Da
Invisible Sun
Walking In Your Footsteps
Can’t Stand Losing You
Roxanne

Encores:
King Of Pain
So Lonely
Every Breath You Take
Next To You

I love When the World is Running Down.

There was a stretch through high-school when I could have sworn the next line was, "You make the best omelettes still around" and I was picturing Sting sitting in the kitchen with some woman at the counter whisking up some eggs and cheese.

I think I like my version of that song better.

If they play that song in New Orleans I'm definitely singing along to MY version.

Which brings up another point actually:
I suspect the amount of everybody-singing-along-on-every-word is going to be annoyingly high at this show.

However, I saw Sting 3 different times between 88 and 96 and don't remember it bugging me at all so perhaps the suckitude factor of all the sing-alongers won't be such a big deal.

Default TR: The Police in Oakland + mspaint

Went Wednesday night.

The good news: Sweet seats right behind home plate.

The bad news: The Police were beyond the CF wall.

Still, the sound was great, and they've never really been about the visual show, anyway. Plus the video screen technology keeps getting better and better.

Kinda funny seeing all the old (read: my age) people still trying to rock out. Hope nobody pulled a muscle or anything.

All,

Wow, very uninspired review of their Bay Area show.

Based on the sample size of 4 years' worth of Joel Selvin reviews I read while I was in college, this is damn near glowing!
