Default TR: The Police in Seattle + mspaint

Amazing. Simply Amazing. I was hoping for a high energy show, and that's what they delivered, perfectly.

Sting was in his element; Andy was absolutely spot on; and watching Stewart made me want to go by a kit right now, amazing drummer.

They played Murder By Numbers, Andy donned the Telecaster for this one. Then on the next song he changed back, with Stewart saying "Why don't you play the telecaster Andy?"

Very few flubs, the band was very tight tonight. I don't think Stewart will have anything to complain about this time.

I could see a few empty seats, one section in particular of about 30 seats was empty, perhaps reserved for the staff? We couldn't figure it out at all. Two rows of empty seats. Weird.

Stewart played the drums and also a huge bank of percussion instruments behind him, including Timpani drums.

Andy's guitar had beautiful tone. From up where we were sitting, in the cheap seats, there was quite a bit of distortion at times, but his tone was unmistakeable.

Sting had amazing energy, and he looked like he was having a great time. His bass playing was incredible. I only wish the show could have been a little longer.

Here's the set list for those that are interested:

Message in a Bottle
Synchronicity II
Spirits in the Material World
Voices Inside My Head
Don't Stand So Close to Me
Driven to Tears
Walking on the Moon
Truth Hits Everybody
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Wrapped Around Your Finger
The Bed's Too Big Without You
Murder by Numbers
De Do Do Do De Da Da Da
Invisible Sun
Walking in Your Footsteps
Can't Stand Losing You
Roxanne

First encore:
King of Pain
So Lonely

Second encore:
Every Breath You Take
Next to You

And aforementioned MSPaint:

Excellent report. Awesome set list. I only wish Man in a Suitcase were on it, but I'm happy to see Voices and Truth Hits Everybody.

Great report. I'm woefully ignorant re: Police. I will rectify that.

The idiots on local radio were trying to tell me that tickets for the [censored] seats were 200 a pop. Confirm/Deny?

Thanks for the report.
I'm seeing them June 30 in New Orleans and am already REALLY pumped up for this.

Those disappointed in the omission of a song or two: I would think their set might vary by a song or two from show to show, right?

Hard to know. Some bands mix it up. Others like to keep it consistent. What we need to know is what they played when they rehearsed in Vancouver to speculate about this.

EDIT -- Vancouver show set list:

Message In A Bottle
Synchronicity II
Don't Stand So Close To Me
Voices Inside My Head'
When the World Is Running Down
Spirits In The Material World
Driven To Tears
Walking On The Moon
Truth Hits Everybody
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Wrapped Around Your Finger
The Bed's Too Big Without You
Murder By Numbers
De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da
Invisible Sun
Walking In Your Footsteps
Can't Stand Losing You
Roxanne
King Of Pain
So Lonely
Every Breath You Take
Next To You
