Default Fantasy Question, Why is Manning so low?

Assuming that TD are worth the same amount of points for RB as QBs and rushing yards are 10 yrds/point and passing yards are 25/point, why is Peyton Manning ranked so low in most fantasy football drafts? Most mock drafts I've seen have him going somewhere between 6-12. IMO, he figures to score more TDs than any other RB in the league, except possible LT. I would consider him the second best overall fantasy choice, but clearly the experts disagree.

First off, passing TDs are worth 3 points in most fantasy leagues, and rightfully so. 6 points for a passing TD makes for poor scoring balance

Secondly, the evolution of fantasy football thinking seems to be trending towards "Always draft a RB in the first round". It's too easy to shore up your QB position in-season, or to get a good value pick late in the draft to pass up a stud RB.

basically, position scarcity. other QB's figure to be relatively closer to Manning than Joe RB is to the top RB's.

Footballguys has a different rankings based on how the leagues score. Last year, for ESPN leagues (where QB TDs are 4 points, Manning was ranked around 10 or so). For Yahoo leagues, where QB TDs are worth 6, Manning was ranked #4.

The margin between the top RBs to all other RBs is a lot bigger than the margin of top QBs to other QBs. Not exactly sure who they were comparing or what type of league but between 2 QBs the difference was 6 points per week and the 2 RBs the difference was 13 points per week.

its simply you have to start 2RBs, 1QB

if it was 2QB 2RB Peyton would be #1
