AK river play
villian is pretty loose.... I think he was like 40/10.. something around there.. 6 handed I'm on button with AK PF: 3 folds, I raise, sb folds, BB calls FLop is: K 10 8 two spades he checks, I bet, he calls Turn: 9 heart he checks, I bet, he calls River: A spades he leads, I want to pop this but the flush draw got there and the str8 was already there but I think he donks with two pair there alot...... if I raise and he 3-bets..well that just sucks... I think the play is to just call but maybe raising isn't bad |

Re: AK river play
He's pretty loose, how aggressive is he? Is it a 6 handed table or a full game that is now six handed?

Re: AK river play
Would be nice to know how loose of a caller he is postflop. Personally I would throw in a raise somewhere if I hit the flop. He only shows aggression as soon as the A of spades hits, so an Ace, flush or straight isn't scary to him. Looks like a "No free river because I hit my flush" bet. I think because you have an ace as wel, the chance of another ace is low enough to call here in stead of raise.

Re: AK river play
if he's not real aggro you can r/f here. But few players are good enough for this line. So just raise it anyway then call and lose. Just calling is also ok. This is very player dependant.

Re: AK river play
Against someone who only shows winners just call. If the person who bets into you like to make plays I would raise. You're raising for value, if you make the raise I think you're inclined to call. Don't raise if you can't make the call, just call and see who has the best hand. Against someone who's real passive and plays ABC poker you're likely behind to a flush or straight, I'll just call them.
