Default SSO8 in Vegas

I spent some time searching on here and looking at allvegaspoker.com to try to figure out where I should go play extremely low limit O8 when I'm in vegas this weekend, but didn't really have any luck. I've never played O8 live and am guessing you're just going to tell me not to. But I'm a glutton for punishment. I'm staying downtown, if that changes the answer at all.

Orleans 4/8 O8, and don't forget your nit hat. That game is always going. Straddle.

Palace Station and the Orleans; you can play cards with the local pensioners.

I doubt you'll find anything downtown. Binions used to have Omaha high only, but that may have dried up.

True! I helped start the table one Sunday morning and I wanted to poke my eardrums with an ice pick long before the first card was dealt. Then when you raise preflop with AAxx and everyone bitches you start to want to hear them bitch and actually think of new ways to piss them off. Man that's fun.

Tips for fitting in with the Orleans 4/8 O/8 game:

1) Never bring chips to the table. Buy in for $20-30 at a time with a rumpled $100 bill. Make sure you need a softbreak, and make sure it's for an awkward amount.

2) If someone raises, start berating them. This goes double if their raise forces you to cold-call two bets to chase your nut low draw with no high. This goes triple if they eventually turn over the same nut low after that draw comes in. Make it four berations if the raiser get quartered in a five-way pot because they have a second-best high that failed to promote when everyone cold-called anyway.

3) Only raise with big pocket pairs. KQQ9 unsuited opening in the cut-off is a raising hand. A234ds on the button is not.

4) Slowroll at every opportunity, especially when the BB tables 79xx on a board of (68T)(4)(Q) and you limped 479J UTG.

5) Showdowns are when everybody holds up their cards, rearranges them, squints, thinks, scratches heads, and finally drops two cards. After that, stare the other players down until the dealer asks someone to please table a hand so the pot can be awarded. People who table their hands immediately at showdown deserver to get berated because they are unnecessarily speeding up the game.

Excellent. Applies to Trop $3/$6 LO8 in AC as well. CashamoCowza.

I once had a player in the game tell me "if you keep raising, I'm not going to play for much longer, it's not very nice."
