Re: Questionable on every street
i prefer a flop checkraise because any pocket pair bets, UTG may still donk, button may still bet his AK when checked to. the only thing the donk does is insure a bet goes in when UTG doesn't donk himself and button has and checks behind AK.
turn i would never consider betting. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah this makes sense. Plus there aren't any reasonable gut shots and we hold one of the two overs. Therefore a free card hurts less. So if the action goes CO bets, SB folds, we c/r, UTG calls, CO 3-bets, what's the plan? |

sometimes people say some really incredible things on this forum. for example, check folding this river.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah i don't see how the river can be anything other than c/c 1 bet no matter who it is from as for flop c/r, if we are 3bet by co i dunno since we have so few hands on villain. when tightish seeming players call 2 cold in bb here i auto give them like 77-99/AJ-AQ/KQ so I'd prolly just call down but im a nit. |

Re: Questionable on every street
flop cr is better to put pressure on utg, and like i said i think u have to not let the turn check tho.
if u were gonna shut down after the cap i like b/c the flop donk the turn better. dave |

Re: Questionable on every street
when I read OP I thought, hmm I c/r the flop.
as played I think the river bet is bad. the hands you are ahead of aren't calling (your donk on the flop could easily have been a flush draw) and the hands you are behind are raising. should have added that I c/c the river as well. I think c/f'ing is not good in this spot. |

sometimes people say some really incredible things on this forum. for example, check folding this river. [/ QUOTE ] i said it to emphasize how bad i thought the bet was. what i want to happen on the river is a utg bet and co raise so i can make the easiest decision ever. if it checks to co and he bets, i think maybe 5-10% of the time we're good (0% if i'm co), so it's close at 13bb. if utg bets and co folds, i insta-call. if utg bets and co calls, i'd call too. |
