Hahaha, Party is trying REAL hard to lose all their players.

1. Screw the affiliates.
2. Make the bonuses next to impossible to clear.
3. Increase rake.
4. Take a 7% vig on exchange rates. A $100 bonus now becomes a $40 bonus with these stupid rates.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, this is a joke. They finally give me a $100 15% bonus after 1 year of nothing and it turns out I lost 50% of it just to their exchange rate bs. It's not as though they don't [censored] rake enough... What next, Party introduces it's own "taxation" system?

For example, at 100NL, I used to clear a $100 bonus in 2 hours, no problem. This last bonus will take over 5000 hands at 100NL. wtf

I'm in the UK and was amazed that it was actually better for me to cash out to neteller then to my bank than to go direct from Party. I've always thought that neteller's exchange rates were to be avoided but they don't seem so bad now.

In future I'll just miss out Party all together by playing somewhere else.

it's pretty standard to rip off the customer around 2% for exchange. it's entirely different when the inversion of exchange rates is almost 7% off.

[/ QUOTE ]
It does seem to be getting just a little worse all the time. Don't forget though, when the bank nails you for 2% one way, they also get you for 2 the other way. IE if they sell a US dollar for 1.08, they'll be buying it for 1.04.

That being said, this is almost 6.5%. They had a great rate for a while, then it was decent, now it's become expensive. The next step would seem to be exorbitant. And of course, that's not including all of their new $1-2.50 cashout fees. Ugh.

[/ QUOTE ]

Looks like the bobo fett cashout method is no longer viable. Huge sigh, I never even had the opportunity to use it yet.

Is there any way us brits can open an account that uses dollars somehow?

[/ QUOTE ]

Most likely your bank will allow you to open a US Dollar account. I'm in Canada and have done this. Unfortunately, Party said, "yes, you can use that account for EFT's, but when you withdraw we'll still convert the amount to Canadian dollars before sending it to you(!)"

So you have to pay currency exchange fees US->CA to Party and fees to your bank CA->US before the money finally reaches your U.S. dollar account?

So Party ARE trying to scam us badly here and if we try to avoid being [censored] by their ridiculous exchange rate they just go ahead and scam us anyway... wtf?

I see that you can turn your currency to be displayed in £'s rather than $'s, but will this mean that we get scammed EVERY TIME we take money to/from a table or will it be any better?

It's (precisely) a 3% fee on each conversion. (Do a round conversion of one unit and you'll find that you're left with 0.9409 of the same unit, which is 0.97 * 0.97)
