I'd CBet. Doesn't need to be huge. Make it look like you want him to call. If he comes over the top, dump. If he calls, you're boned to an unimproved turn, but you might be able to check behind. I wouldn't go with two barreling because if he hits set he'll tear you apart there.

I don't raise preflop. With 2k in the Pot and nothing but Nut Nuttin, I bet 1k. Maybe I get to see the River without paying anything else.

I think C-bet and shut down if he calls. This should get small pairs and gutshot draws to fold. I don't think you necessarily want a free card here - hitting your A or K could fill his straight or two-pair.

Yeah, I think it's healthy to suggest not raising pre-flop. You're sort of in an awkward spot where a 2k pot on the flop makes for some pretty difficult decisions and you have AK in position against a lot of hands you probably beat pretty decently. It also disguises your hand a bit if you both flop a pair of aces or kings, and with a smaller pot you're much more confident taking it down with a bet.
