I am the beast
Feed me rappers or feed me beats
I'm untamed, I need a leash
I'm insane, I need a shrink
I love brain, I need a leech
Why complain on easy streets?
I don't even talk, I let the Visa speak
and, I like my sprite easter pink
And my wrist special par but the mule is cooler
I have more jewels than your jeweler
Touch, and I will bust your medulla
That's a bullet hole, it is not a tumor
Red light red light stop your rumors
I stay on track like a box of Pumas
Now just r-r-rock with Junior
I am the little big Kahuna, ya'dig.

[ QUOTE ]

When dissected in text format his stuff is inane compared to the very meditated rhymes of some of the other heavyweights, which may very well be a detracting fact about his merit, but it's not where his appeal lies really.

The guy absorbs almost every beat in rotation and hits the studio every day and plays with sounds and flows of everything out there and experiments with it, because he seems to love it, and he puts out tons of interesting stuff. It's pretty refreshing as far as the industry goes. I think a lot of the organic feeling of his mixtapes, the half freestyle sounding tracks that remind me of the passion a lot of the industry used to have, is where his appeal for many lies.

Suck my [censored] dick lame. Just because you live in NY doesn't mean you know [censored] about rap.

I guess you've got a mean internet swagger cause you listened to Biggie in college. If you've got nothing constructive to say, shut the [censored] up and don't step to me. Tired of obnoxious mods.

lol so let's just recap your opinions

kanye is good, not because he is a good rapper or has any content, but because he makes music that white girls like to dance to, and doesn't make you feel like a herb by talking about the hood all the time.

lil wayne is good because he plays with the way words sound and has a better flow than anyone except jay-z (lol). expecting things he says to make sense is asking too much.

thanks for your contribution, that is very constructive.

yeah, i listened to biggie in college, and high school for that matter, and middle school, and he is still better than any of these clowns. ditto nas, ghostface, etc.

I often wonder about the possible results of if a guy like Jay Z made his work game more like Waynes, I dont know if it would be the sickest thing ever or he wouldnt have it or it wouldnt even be possible because some guys just compose their stuff in a different way and then just drop it in short bursts of sickness. Sorry for rambling.

[/ QUOTE ]

loooooooool we DO have the "possible results" of this do you remember any of 96-03?

jay-z dropped a full retail LP once a year for 8 straight years ON TOP of being all over the mixtape scene and doing his thing with best of both worlds and unplugged.

maybe you just werent exposed to as much rap back then as u are now but it seemed like jay was all over everything for those 8 years.

the carter 1 and dedication 2 are better than both of those.

pretty much after the carter 1 he got really cocky and sloppy and hes not as "tight" as he used to be

but dedication 2 was the most solid mixtape to drop in a long time

I definitely wasn't, I pretty much only have his LPs and random tracks from the time period, give me the names of any good stuff you remember if you're feeling generous [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

All,

Lil Wayne is not from the south. He is from New Orleans.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, Louisiana is in the South, but we're kind of our own entity. Different culture and all.

Speaking of Lil' Wayne and New Orleans, I like this track, but then, I'm still bitter.

Clipse's latest album has been one of my favorite hip-hop albums for a while now.

I don't pretend to be an expert on rap, though.
