I think you are talking about Sprints wireless data network that is different from wifi. WiFi is a technology that is designed to wirelessly connect to a local network and covers a relatively small range. WiMax is a more long range system that works in a way more comparable to a cell phone. You could think of wifi as a cordless phone in your house and wimax as a cell phone.
With regards to how well it will work for you, I have no idea. It definitely wont work where you dont have cell reception. If you are going to be playing in one place ie. your house/office its a bad idea. If you want to be able to go all around the city and play in lots of different places its probably worth a try. |
