also why is check callin on the river bad.
i would always check call here as pot control. i wouldnt bet 700 and fold when i could check call upto 900 all the time.

The reason why checkcalling river is bad is that there are worse hands that will check behind, but might call a bet, while there's a very small chance he bluffs if we check. Therefore, our equity vs. his calling range if we bet is better than vs. his betting range if we check. Though, there's a little kink if we are unsure whether villain could raise w/ a worse two pair this way when we intend to fold to a raise.

Usually, I would say that villains will typically just call if they have AT or worse.

Agree w/ bigballz. Though, if you don't think this particular villain will have/call w/ a worse hand that won't bet if you check, then c/c might be better. This is not usually the case tho.

this would be a better thread if you cut the river action out IMO.

also I probably check/call, solely because being blown off your hand here is a much bigger disaster than missing a few hundred in value at the end. but I do feel like it's close.
