200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
Villain is 21/12 after 130 hands... AF is 4.3 so far but I hesitate to include it since most people read way too much into a small sample AF.
Comments on all decisions appreciated. Poker Stars, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 8 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter MP2: $206.35 CO: $203.40 BTN: $62.80 SB: $198 BB: $261.55 UTG: $201 Hero (UTG+1): $241 MP1: $125 Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG+1) UTG folds, Hero calls $2, 5 folds, BB checks Flop: ($5) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $4, Hero calls $4 Turn: ($13) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $14, Hero raises to $42, BB raises to $70, Hero ? |

Re: 200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
pf is not good. Since he's the BB I shove here since he can show up with all 2 pair combos. Sure he has K10 and T8 here some, but I think you can get it in.

Re: 200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
These were pretty much my thoughts later (at the time it felt like he wouldn't be 3-betting without at least aces up since my hand could easily be aces up), I think more people will post in agreement with you so I'll go ahead and add this:
Turn: ($13) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $14, Hero raises to $42, BB raises to $70, Hero calls $28 River: ($153) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $68, Hero folds ?? Now all I beat is A9 and maybe he'll turn Q9 into a bluff? Pretty slim chances he was 3-bet bluffing the turn without at least a flush draw, right? |

Re: 200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
River is definite fold, but I reraise flop here. There are too many scare cards that can come on the turn.

Re: 200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
oh wow why did you raise the turn? Its a limped pot.
Obviously if your goal is to be a good tag with a wide range you need to be raising this pre. However, if there happens to be some limping in your game, then you definitely need to be limping hands like this to balance with your small pairs. Also, as played i fold the turn. I'm pretty sure he has a straight 90+% of the time. |

Re: 200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
It's a limped pot. If you choose to limp AQ preflop instead of fold or raise, then don't get excited about 2-pair on a board that could easily support a straight. Just call the turn bet and reevaluate on the river bases on what it is and how much he bets.
Don't raise the turn. 2-pair on this board isn't worth all that much more than 1-pair. But since villain might have a draw or a lower 2-pair, it is worth a call rather than a fold. It is not worth a raise. As played, fold to the big turn reraise. |

Re: 200nl top two vs. turn 3-bet
Any thoughts on raising the flop though? Im sorta inbetween both raising and callin here. I'm curious about other people's thoughts on that.
