Default Fairly Simple Question from an Omaha Newb

How come the 6-handed tables seem to be crankin' all the time, but the full-ring tables not so much?

What are the advantages to playing short-handed vs. full ring?

Honestly, I like the full tables more because the pots get big and I don't have to pay the blinds as often - good for clearing bonuses when you don't know how to make money by playing well yet.

So, set me straight?

I think in general (not just PLO), 6 handed gives you more action. Omaha is more of a gambling game in the first place, so you can play more hands and not get punished. In full ring, you WILL get punished for being too loose as the nuts will be out there a lot of the time.

I like full ring, but that's just because I'm weak tight. I need to learn the 6max game in PLO and in HE.

Yah, this is the difference between 6max and full for any game. Also at 6m you get more opportunities against bad players.

Anyone know where I can find a list of starting hands or reccomendations on 6 vs Full-Ring. I do fairly well in Full-ring games however perform poorley in the smaller games.

Take what you would normally play if the first 3 positions folded, loosen it up a tiny bit from there, and then adjust for opponents.
