Default Playing AJ

Hello everyone,

I recently played this hand on a .50/1 table online. I would feedback on my play.

Villain is a solid winning player at this level. PT stats: 15K hands 22.52 / 13.52 / 2.97

Dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in third position.

UTG limps, fold, Hero Raises, Villain 3bets, 4 folds, BB and UTG call, Hero calls

Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Check, Hero bets, Villain raises, Folds around, Hero Calls

Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villain bets, Hero calls

River: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villain bets, hero calls

I don't mind betting the flop in hopes that villian will raise to shut out bb and utg. If it was hu or if I was in ep I would prefer a c/r.

its fine.

sometimes i fold the river if i dont think he 3 barrels anything i beat. online, thats not often.

also, your action is messed up. you are acting first on the flop and the villain is acting first on later streets.

He's not often raising with a worse hand though. Also what draws are we trying to charge?

We're trying to knock out the BB and UTG's silly little Kings and Queens, I think.

Perhaps I'm bringing this back to poker 101, but I have a question about the c/r recommendation.

Should I c/r because of the three bet before the flop and I expect him to bet the flop after a check? What if he makes it 3 bets to me? Fold or call planning to c/f if I dont improve?
