What's to discuss? It's neutral EV probably since you're not going to spew with it post-flop. I'd fold though.

Post-flop I guess I'd raise for protection now that I'm in that spot. I'd like MP to fold his overcards if he has them and the SB can have a lot of draws here.

But if you raised here in this spot and it didn't work out, that doesn't necessarily mean it's spew, although I haven't seen the other streets yet.

Interesting. Do you call with any two suited? I would always fold this.

I call with all sorts of suited crap getting 5:1 with good relative position, but I fold this one. I'd like to have a little bit of high card strength or connectedness.

as played I think that you need to 3bet the flop to force MP to fold overcards. MP is likely betting his entire range, probably ~18% of hands from that spot, and SB is likely checkraising any pair or draw, a lot of which you beat

I always call any2 suited getting 5:1 or better.

I occasionally check my results with it. In particular when threads like these pop up.

So FWIW.

Range: T2s-T5s, 92s-95s, 82s-84s, 72s-73s, 62s-63s, 52s, 42s, 32s

Filter: I am BB, I put money in and exactly 3 to a flop.

- Database 1 (520k hands the vast majority beeing 1/2 through 5/10)

Trials 587
Results (0.29)
BB's up 0.21*587 = 123

- Database 2 (35k hands 5/10 and higher mostly 5/10)

Trials 87
Results (0.10)
BB's up 0.40*87 = 34.8

- Overall

Results (0.23)
BB's up = 157.8

Now change the filter to me in BB putting money in but 3 or more seeing the flop

- Database 1

Trials 928
Results (0.30)
BB's up 0.2*928 = 185.6

- Database 2

Trials 105
Results (0.32)
BB's up 0.18*105 = 18.9

- Overall

Results (0.30)
BB's up = 204.5

Last time I checked I was up more. So I must be using a different range of hands now.

Anyways. I like money so I keep calling suited junk getting 5.1

Disclaimer: I am not suggesting these results are statistically significant.

Do we really want to be stuck between two aggressors (one that had a boner for his cards preflop and another that has a boner for his cards postflop) with a pair of 7s with no kicker and no real draw other than our standard 5 out 2-pair/trip draw?

We especially run the risk of getting stuck with this hand and paying 4 SBs to see the turn here too if MP has a big pair and is aggro. These guys probably aren't folding without a showdown and I can't see us dodging most of the deck twice to win it if we're even ahead right now in the first place.
