Default Heads Up Theory Post

In a heads-up cash game with 100bb or less, is the following scenario always a cooler....

You have A4 on a board of 4486A (board has three diamonds)
Regardless of the betting sequence is it ever possible to get away from this hand? (I got stacked when my opponent showed me 66)

No we cannot fold or get away from this at 100 BBs. I dont think I could get away from this at 300 bbs.

I dont think I will ever fold a full house on a single paired board for 100bb. (That doesnt mean you have to push all in with an overbet on the river).

If you are considering a fold here, then you are probably not being aggressive enough in your match, where it would take a very strong hand to get your opponent to raise you. You may not be stealing enough pots postflop. (In other words, tight players only get action from big hands. Aggressive players will get action from a larger range of hands, and thus should never fold a full house in this situation.)

I'm not really sure where the theory is here, but there's no way I'm folding A4 on that board for at least 200bb, probably 300bb+.

its questionable but possible fold for me if action going with very low pot till river. smth like, you commited only 10BB and V goes all in
edit: with flushy board it comes much more difficuilt to fold. seems like you commited to call every time except you have an Ace flush

There's no way you should get to the river on a board w/ a FD having committed only 10bb

I had A4 on an AA639 board. The player tanked and folded a full house (he said). Think about it, he had pocket 6s or something. How does that sound?

Maybe I am a calling station, but I will gladly loose all of my chips to full house vs full house, set under set, Flush under flush. Sometimes, when I slide that cursor, my mind screams "noooooooooo!!!!!," I may get mad at myself for not listening, but then again, I would smack myself for playing weakly when I figure villain will call with one pair.
