Maybe someone has mentioned it already, but I really think the guy with AK meant he wanted to chop the money and didn't think it was worth taking the shot to win the whole 100k as a not so big fav.

I think this is karmic in a way. If Forrest hadn't been so busy trying to angle everyone he might have noticed that his fold box was still checked.
