Default A short Banking and Casino credit Rant....

Part I:

Sold a piece of dirt yesterday and got a tidy sum wired to my bank acct. Wife maintains separate acct at different bank. Both are large, well known institutions. I have a private banker who makes sure that anytime I deposit anything I never have "held funds" or any other bullcrap like that.

So I go to put some money (think 2 buyins) in my wifes acct. Personal check. They want to put a 15 day hold on the money. WTF? Then I'm told that if I get a cashier's check the hold will only be 10 days. WTF? This is just a rake. So I go to my bank and ask for the cash and they don't have that much for one customer. The bank has no real money- its just all "on paper." WTF?
I may just wire funds tomorrow, but this experience was bogus.

Part II:

Then I decide that I should boost my credit line at my local casino. I've been playing there for 9 years. Havent played the pit for over 6 years though when I discovered the concept of EV. Well, they want to know what I do when I take out a marker cause they don't have any tracking on me. Hmmm. I play poker. Not good enough. (Standard, I know, but it still rails me) So instead of increasing my line, they basically tell me I can still cash checks but can't take out markers anymore. Good thing I called. I'm thinking that since I offer credit to the employees of this casino everytime I fix one of their eyes that perhaps they should all pay me up front and they can bill their insurance themselves. Equitable?

All casinos do this with poker players. It makes little sense to me. Poker is the one game that the house is absolutely 100% going to win. A player could get lucky and bust them playing dice or blackjack, but never at poker. WTF?
