for some players they do, but you have no idea about this villain

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. So I made a read. That's usually how I do it.

i only like your river check if you are planning to call, otherwise it is a bet/fold situation

[/ QUOTE ]

Sure, but a $292 bet is much different than a $150 bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

do you have a magic read that says so??????? or can you just read souls? or can you just tell from op's tone that he lost?

[/ QUOTE ]
lol wtf This post blows my mind.

OP: I prob call, but I can see finding a fold sometimes, if your gut tells you too.

I know nobody slowplays anymore, but I would fear a set here.

ikestoys,

you might be right, but pot bets on the river generally are VERY strong hands. esp from big winners on the site.

op,

does the site have a pot bet button?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, it has a pot bet button, and I agree with your post.

Big Jim -- The only time this is a set from villain is if he misclicked every street. He has never slowplayed a hand against me, and there is usually a "just a little bit more" than minraise thrown in on some street.

Also for the whole "difference in bet sizes" debate. Uh. Yea, there's a difference, especially when villain shows no aggression on any other street, this bet is very strong.

You have to call this as played then.

I think you're good like 80% of the time here.

I really don't think you can fold, then.

Nearly every draw missed or we have it beat. The obvious flush draw, A5,53. You'd expect if he hit the wheel or had a hand as wacky as 63 that he would raise the turn to get the money in quicker going to the river.

Pretty much the only hand I can put him on that we lose to is J9.

What I don't understand is why he would pot it with a hand like QJ/KJ/AJ that has showdown value.

His story just doesn't add up to me, I call here and don't feel bad if he shows me the winner. I think its the proper call against a guy who you said doesn't slowplay.

These big river bets are ALWAYS awesome hands (usually backdoor) - He's expecting you to call and is trying to get MAX value. Fold and make a note.
