Default 1st level of $50 buy-in, what\'d we do 2+2?

Tournament just started started out 2000 in chips. blinds are 25/50 no reads on villian. 2limpers, on CO, dealt 10's raised to 200 Villian on button min-raised to 400 limpers fold and i called.

Flop; Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I checked, ( should've bet? ) he bet out 1100, I ...?

Tourney is live on he got this douche smile on his face.

I'd fold.

I wish I could say I'd fold to the minraise, but I probably can't and you probably shouldn't.

Sherman

Edit: BTW, this is a terrible structure. 40BBs to start at level I blows.

Call.

I just can't put in so many chips and checkfold. What did I call preflop for? On the offchance that the flop came all rags, so I felt confident to push? It seems I'm taking pretty short odds for that. I push preflop and I push flop if I had a blip preflop and somehow called. I could fold preflop to the minraise, because I don't have much fold equity (although that's balanced out by his having a fairly wide range) and I'm crushed by some of his range and only a small favourite agaisnt most of the rest, but you know, the voice would be in your head going "but he MINraised" and bang, the chips would be in.

Weird play

1.) button miniraises
2.) button bets 1100 on the flop where he has 1600 behind

Basically we need a plan preflop to call or not to call the mini-raise (or to 4-bet?).

If we call, we can't really do it for set-value alone, cause the stacks don't justify that. So if we think we are up against an overpair we should fold, but I think we can never be.

So we call - I can see that we fold if an ace or king hits the flop, but if we call preflop this flop is very good for us, so I think betting out here is the right choice.

As played I think you have to call - this overbet doesn't look like AA,KK or a set. I would be most affraid of JJ, but the whole situation is weird - therefor i call.

I think I had a hand like this in a "bad poker dream" a few weeks ago. First, the nice thing about bad poker dreams is that they are never really nightmares, they just really brood.

I would raise a little less preflop because of this totally [censored] blind structure.

I would fold to the minraise because I hate being in positions like this early.

I would have no [censored] idea what to do on the flop.

Barry

wow what a weird hand. I don't mind it pre... with the structure I guess you have to fold on the flop, even tho it makes no sense to me at all.

you should really talk to the casino about the structure here... unreal.

WAIT, IT'S LIVE. OH MY GOODNESS! SORRY - call, check/push on flop. Seriously - seems like this [censored] is up to no good and waiting to go to the bar. Seriously - I have a read here, I know what that douchey smile means.

After you win the hand 1010 v. A7, bismark him.

calling or shoving here doesn't matter at all imo, cause all the chips will go in on the turn anyway.
