Re: Check-up #1
[ QUOTE ]
Me no likey cbet-cbet...c/c the turn, donk the river, fold to a raise. [/ QUOTE ] Boz, what is the rationale for donking the river? I can see that we MIGHT have the best hand here when hitting the A, as villian might be raising with a strong draw on the turn. I put his range as JT, 88, AT, maybe A7. Seems that most hands would have gotten HERO beat. donking out on river tells villian we hit our A, and he'll fold if he misses his draws, but raise us if he has the goods. I reckon this would be spewing on our part. Since he raised the turn, why not let him bet out on the river and we will call to showdown? |

Boz, what is the rationale for donking the river? [/ QUOTE ] Given that you've already responded to Miles (which presumes that you READ his post), I'll take this as asked and answered. Edit: the only thing that miles didn't include is that if Villan is aggro enough to bluff-raise, but then he's also aggro enough to make the aforementioned LOLRETARDBLUFF with QT. |

I agree with your c/c on the river because I think we are beat here more often than we are ahead and when we are ahead villain will fold some of the time. [/ QUOTE ] i doubt villain ever bets the river when we're ahead unless he's a moron. |

Re: Check-up #1
Grunch:
Preflop: raise Flop: raise is good maybe they fold ..maybe you hit on the turn. Turn:You have a flush draw now ..check behind and hope to get a free card and hit your flush or an Ace by the river. River: is fine. The button might have a straight. |
