Almost all those came from before or right around the time his main was blocked. He kinda did get better treatment than others would have received, especially before then.

guys,

perhaps he is just really an ignorant racist/antisemetic/homophobic asshat?

[/ QUOTE ]
Possibly. I just don't think you're very familiar with this poster. I am of the mind that he isn't like that at all but likes to play one on 2+2 from time to time, as if mocking the very person he's projecting (not that this is a good idea, mind you).

More importantly, he is/was strongly supported by CMI, Eurotrash, and many other of the most respected posters of these forums, and they're no dummies. Link.

Oh yeah, and my favorite istewart-ism (assuming it was him that made this up):

"The key to limit hold'em is to put a man to a decision for some of his chips."

tuq,

i freely admit that i am not familiar with the poster at all. however, it's not like there is a huge list of rules he has to follow to stay unbanned. there's like 1. it shouldn't be that hard. meh. whatever. like i said, my humor in the whole subject just comes from the enormity of the list. a handful of the other IPs branch out quite a ways as well. lolz.

No one's arguing that he shouldn't be banned, but it's pretty funny that a lot of people actually take his posts seriously.

All,

I also understand why he should be banned, but still think he's mainly a pretty f'ing hilarious and sharp poster who just likes to f with people. Obviously, he sucks (probably on purpose) at following rules.

The thing is that account bans and ip bans and everything else can't keep somebody who wants to post from posting. So there's no real incentive to shape up. The only way to solve that hyperactive modding, and unlike other trolls, nobody wants to ban him.

Just FYI, I'm told that vbulletin makes stopping people from posting a significantly easier and less stupid process than in UBB.

For one thing, you can make a usergroup that lets someone make invisible posts - they can post, but without knowing those posts are there and employing a few tricks, no one except them can actually see them.

I don't have much of a problem with istewart either (despite the fact that he's been trolling me for 3 years, because he PMs me really nice comments and asks interesting questions of me), but this joke about limit holdem is older than istewart. I do credit him for repeating it, though.
