meh i call. he has a worse hand 25% of the time i think, though it does look a lot like KJ or similar. depends how nitty he is though, but a lot of the 18/14s around party are much less nitty than they might appear.

are u saying betting the flop is the best line, or only that its better than checking and paying off later streets, as opposed to folding?

i was thinking upon review that maybe bet/fold is better, and shut down if im called. still unsure though. seems like checking for pot control and to get an extra street of value is a decent option too. interested in hearing more thoughts on this.

sometimes i fold, sometimes i 4bet and sometimes i call (depending on villain). i think all options are fine in the right situation. to me this seemed like a good spot to just call and see a flop.
