Re: *WORLD SERIES GAME ONE THREAD: Rockies at Red Sox*

[ QUOTE ] Some Red Sox fans are arrogant and obnoxious (Kyro), a few are well spoken and generally unbiased (KidColin), and then there is Jessica who is just an annoying troll that is better left ignored. [/ QUOTE ] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] |

I don't care who wins, but the Sox are making the playoffs boring as hell. [/ QUOTE ] I think the ALCS games were a lot more exciting than the scores indicated. Games 5 6 and 7 all were tense for a fair amount of the time. Same with game 2 when the Tribe blew us out. |

Re: *WORLD SERIES GAME ONE THREAD: Rockies at Red Sox*
I'm curious: did one team need to win tonight more than the other? In other words, would one team be hurt more by the loss tonight than the other in terms of chances of winning the series?

Re: *WORLD SERIES GAME ONE THREAD: Rockies at Red Sox*
The Red Sox definitely needed to win more tonight, because tonight's game was where the matchups were most in their favor.
Put it this way...most experts are picking the Sox in either 6 games or 7. Just about all of them were counting on this as a Sox win. If they lost this one, they'd have to win 2 of 3 in Denver to get back on course. Not that this was a duff for the Rockies, but even those picking a Rockies series win were thinking the Rockies were going to win Game 1. |

[/ QUOTE ] i actually think this was a pretty good matchup for the rockies on paper tonight. i don't think we are more of a favorite in game 1 with beckett than we are with dice k versus whomever in game 3 simply because francis is usually waaaayyyy better than whoever that guy is. but whatever, gg sox |

Of course, the way that Holliday was fielding his position tonight, maybe that advantage isn't as big as people may have figured. Edit: And yeah, gg Sox. |
