There is treachery afoot. It looks to be one of our own.

Re: Choose Your Own Adventure Vol I: The Road to Eleria
** STRATEGY POST **
One of the characters in the game is the SABOTEUR. He will plant a bomb on one of the choices. We choose it, and something bad happens to us. Therefore, our choice is effectively a rock paper scissors game with the saboteur. The saboteur wants to play a sheep game. He wants to place the bomb on the page which he expects the village to choose. Looking at the options, which one are we most likely to choose today? Page 8. Duh. The choice is setup and worded for us to basically "get a hint about who the evils are" - which is the most pro-village right now. Which is what the saboteur wants to bomb, basically. So basically, I'm imploring village to pick a choice which they believe that the saboteur will NOT CHOOSE. The fact that I have made this post has already influenced what the saboteur will place the bomb on. I cannot railroad the village to choose what option I absolutely know the saboteur won't place the bomb on right now, because then the saboteur will place the bomb on that square -- HOWEVER, I IMPLORE THE VILLAGE TO NOT BLINDLY CHOOSE WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE BEST OPTION. (And then, therefore, since I've said that, now I implore you not to choose what looks like the second best option, and then you might have to consider choosing what looks like the worst option but in actuality it sometimes will randomly be the best option. You never know in Choose Your Own Adventure.) Thanks for listening, guys. ** STRATEGY POST ** |

Re: Choose Your Own Adventure Vol I: The Road to Eleria
If I were the sabateur I put the trap on page 32. I am not saying don't vote for that page, because I am not the sabateur, and I don't think hitting a trap is going to be all that bad anyway (for one thing it is good to know the magnitude of the traps early). I would guess the effect will be something like someone get silenced or can't vote or something of that nature.
At any rate, we are mecenaries, not a bunch of kids driving around in the mystery machine. I think moving on is the right choice. I think if we let the evils divert us from our objective it will only help them and hurt us. |
