Default Satellite strategy?

Hey im kinda new at this forum so id appreciate some help
from u guys. Im not sure if this is the place to post this
but ill go ahead and post it anyway.

Thers a £10 rebuy satellite to a £300 freezout this weekend. Blinds begin at 25-50 with 1000 starting chips ,frozen for the first two hours, and go every 20 mins. Unlimited rebuys for 2 hours(1000 chips every time)

About 5-6 places out of the 45 entrants will gain entrance to the £300 event. Most of the players there regard this kind of tournament as a crapshoot and are willing to call of their chips preflop with any trash holdings. When its not a satellite i play tight and wait for the premium hands to put my chips in.

But what should i do now?
Is it better to get in as many pots as possible so i can i have more chips later on in the tourney that will allow to have a big stack (or go busto early) and make in the top 6? Or should i play my usual tight game and just make it to the final table and see what happens from there?

There arent many skillful players at this tournaments and i believe i have some edge on them.
