holy cats, someone else on TPT who knows about Bart's/The Tire Store (and the rivalry therein). Black Bart's is no more. They didn't renew their lease at the warehouse, although they are moving into a new space after the WSOP this year.

As for the dubious legality of the enterprise, from what I understand of the situation, Bart was taking the "donation" for the "upkeep of the tables". Whatever that means.

Also, re: the bad vibe. Of course you would get a bad vibe from an underground poker room in a warehouse district down by a river. Hell, that part of NE Portland isn't exactly known for its peace and tranquility to begin with. The players there were retards and easy to take money off of. I look forward to playing in the new room and taking even MORE of their money. I was getting a 10-1 return on my investment when they closed the first room down.

are any of these places still open? I'm looking for somwhere in Portland to play. If anyone has info on one of these places I'd love to hear it, or if you wanna hit it up together, send me a PM

Edit: I'm looking for the Portland rooms. Not the Eugene one
