Viewing other users\' \"My Home\" page
Link.
This is an idle curiosity above all else. Something to discuss during our ModWars™ truce and the meditative peace that comes with it. Any clue how that user is able to do that? It seems like he is legitimately pulling a screenshot of someone else's My Home. Very strange and unimportant but thought I would ask. Quick search on "my home" in this forum turns up a bunch of music lyrics by [censored] but not much else.

Some odd things in that image. For example the title bar says "My Home for BradleyT", and it was BradleyT who posted it. Also notice you don't see the top of the screen, the scrollbar on the right hand side is midway which is odd my screen seems to be the same resolution yet the scrollbars dont go down as far. I would guess that its a gif screencapture of PVN's home page that was either previously posted or its a joke between PVN and BradleyT but I cannot find the image when I search google - http://www.google.com/search?q=pvnhomezi....twoplustwo.com

It can't be an inside joke because he correctly guessed a thread that I marked as a reminder. I went back and found my screenshot from earlier this year, the reminder section is cut off:

It is pretty obviously a (very good) job of BradleyT mspainting or photochopping his own home page to look like pvn's. If you'll also notice in that image from Brad, it'd appear that "pvn" had not recently clicked on the politics forum. We all know that's an impossibility.

[/ QUOTE ] We posted at the same time so you may not have seen mine. I have seen some of the MS Paint jobs that appear to make things like PMs look legitimate. However, none of this explains how he knew what I had as a reminder, which makes me believe can access it somehow (the only explanation here is that I posted a different My Home screenshot that I simply don't remember). Anyway, 1) the switch to vB probably makes this a moot point and 2) it really is something I'm curious about more than anything.

TT,
Haven copped to it and blamed it on getting notified and that when you click on a notification it takes you to the allegedly offensive post in threaded mode. As I have never received a notification I will take his word for it, but after I posted that pic he backpedaled so hard he almost fell into the Irish Sea. [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]
