Also, I hope that a lot of our readers see this post. Gus Hansen is a big enough name that even a mediocre book by him would make money for us, but we're not in it just for the money . Of course, truly excellent books also make lots of money, and we strive for that combination and are willing to give up titles if we can't be assured that's the case.

Is that why Sklansky involves your business with an attention seeking young lady of questionable character, participates in webcast video interviews with her, and makes numerous forum posts regarding his role in her seedy & sordid personal saga that generate tens of thousands of page views for your website ?

This sounds like it'll be great- I'd love to see this as a 2+2 title.

Come on. Mason runs 2+2 on his own ideals. Fortunately, those ideals don't require his employees (or customers) to be saints.

WTF does that have to do with what Mason said about his desire to produce excellent books?

Gus's manager? Is that like an agent?
It sure is - handling all of Gus' business ventures. He also has a personal assistant.

So he was discussing all his hands into the tape recorder right there at the table, right in front of his opponents?
jep - he got up and recorded all of them in Danish and we have now finished almost all of the hands - it is going to be great and completely unique.
Is he going to submit the manuscript to Mason? Two+two wanted a complete manuscript before deciding so we went with another publishing house - which one will be revealed very soon.

Awesome, this is what Andy Black was making fun of him for doing? Was this Gus' first tournament that he recorded all his hands, and he just happened to win it?

Sounds like it's going to be an awesome book.. too bad 2+2 missed out on it.

On the pokerwire podcast that Gus was on, he mentioned that he was about half way done on a book about his experience at the Aussie Millions tournament. I was surprised that he considered that to be enough material to write a book on.

[/ QUOTE ]

he better give Jimmy a cut then.

Too bad Jimmy didn't learn Danish.

Hey Erik,

Sounds like a really interesting book idea, and look forward to reading it. Hope Gus has had a good (and profitable) WSOP this year. Does he still play in the big mixed games at the Bellagio?

He has definitely been doing it for a while. I remember from interviews going back as far as at least a couple of years where he was talking about this recording practice.
Including from what I remember in big cash games as well, like the Big Game and Larry Flynt's stud game at the Hustler.

Would be sweet if he included some of that as well, though the one tournament idea seems interesting in itself.

i see him play a lot on full tilt poker in the high stakes omaha section lately.

he did confirm the book for me, and no video game for him
when I asked him about a book some time ago.
that was about six months ago so just based on that I would say yes he was working on it for a while.

I can also confirm any gus hansen book published either in two plus two format (which i hope it is ) or by a differnt publisher , will instantly be brought up and loved up in a fan way with many rereads (hoping it is good quality but should be as he been working on it for a while now)

please gus manager , tell gus to make it the highest quality so it can be published by two plus two

lol if 2+2 don't publish it it's their own fold. Being offered to publish any Gus Hansen book and not doing it is like being offered a lot of $ from a guy on the street and not taking it. furthermore, GH will sureley provide high quality material and deep insight thoughts.
