West Virginia -23 @ Connecticut

UConn just looks plain lousy to me.

Won their first game over URI 52-7.

Most points UConn has scored in a game vs. D1-A is 17 and that was in their 41-17 loss to Navy.
Lost 21-7 to a so-so Army team.
Lost 38-16 to a decent (but not great) USF team.


WV struggled for a little before blowing away SYR 41-17. And I rate SYR higher than UConn.

My concern here is that WVU is on the road for this one.
They struggled against a decent ECar team 27-10.
And their only other road-win is an almost meaningless 42-14 trouncing at Miss St.

but I think East Caro is a little bit better than their 2-4 record and I would also rate them higher than UConn.


I faded WVU in their games against East Caro and Syracuse.
But I just don't see UConn staying around in this matchup and I very much like WV's chances to be up by 35 by half-time.


Seems the steam is riding on UConn a bit as the line is down to -23, -102 on Pinny (still -23.5 or even -24 on some other sites).

Not the first time I've gone against the grain on stuff like this. And wouldn't be the first time everyone else was right and I was wrong.

but I really like WVU tonight and at -23, -102 I'm going to jump on it.

the wind will limit big passing plays

I'm taking WVU -23.

UConn is horrible against the run (ranked 125th and they haven't really played anybody good). WVU has one of the top ranked running offenses.

WVU has a good run defense. UConn won't be able to run the clock down enough.

The wind might even help as WVU defense won't have to guess what's coming.

WVU crushed UConn last year and I think they'll do it again.

It is homecoming and nationally televised so I guess UConn will have some fans show up, so i guess they'll be pumped up at least initially.

The dominant running offense will just wear down UConn's defense, which won't be able to get off the field much.

I hope this works out. I really need to bust out of a bonus and the Mets didn't help. Neither did those refs in the Bengals game.
