Default Tight Games and A-x

I recently moved to Absolute, and am now playing in much tighter games than I'm used to; often with table VPIPs under 20%. I'm wondering if in games like this offsuit aces become profitable to open-raise with from mid-late position? It seems like blind stealing works frequently enough, that when you also factor in the high card strength if you do get called then this could outweigh the standard negatives of playing these hands?

Is that the case? Or is A-x still trash, even in super tight games?

Yeah, these hands are a lot better HU than multiway. Especially from the CO/button and especially with A7o and better because sometimes you win by pairing the other card.

You should still generally be folding these from MP2 and earlier, as they still tend to suck OOP.

any ace from the btn
A7 from the Co, maybe lower sometimes .. i would open all the suited aces
A9 MP2, mp3
AT mp
AJ utg-utg1

thats the minimum I would go, but I never play FR so it may be bad

Yes. Also plently of other hands that you can steal the blind with too.

Thanks guys, I've been raising unsuited aces, but started to worry that maybe it was a leak. Nice to hear that it's not a bad plan, as long as I pick my spots well, account for position, and don't overdo it.
