In all those other divisions, games are played on campus sites until the final. It's having three rounds of neutral site playoffs that people object to. That's why I favor a compromise whereby only the semifinals and finals are played at neutral sites.

There are a lot less fans for the lower divisions and it's held on campus sites for some of the early round games, don't know exactly how many rounds are neutral. If people want to argue about academics or players playing too many games, the lower divisions provide a fine example of why those arguments are wrong, but if a playoff happens, the solution to the fan attendance problem will have nothing to do with the lower divisions.

In I-AA, only the championship game is played at a neutral site. The first three rounds are on campus. But I bet most of those teams would forgo the playoffs if the Papajohns.com bowl came calling. There's more money to be made in even the lowest bowl games.
