NLCash - Why raise 3xBB isntead of 4xBB?
Hopefully this hasn't been covered a million times, but I'm just getting my feet wet with the stars HU cash and I'm noticing that everyone is 3xBB instead of 4xBB as is the norm in 6max cash games. Any reason why?

Re: NLCash - Why raise 3xBB isntead of 4xBB?
3x seems to strike a nice balance to where it doesn't give the BB good odds to call (in the case of 2x which you didn't ask about but still...) and makes raising to steal more profitable.

Re: NLCash - Why raise 3xBB isntead of 4xBB?
its simple, 4bb gets more money in preflop. in HU, preflop hand strength doesn't matter a whole lot, certainly much less than 6max, so there's not reason to put a lot in preflop.
