Okay, why does nobody think ace-ten suited is a possibility here?

That wouldn't be a huge spazz-out preflop and would certainly fit with this action. I know he's only 15 PFR but stranger things have happened. Oh, jack ten does this too occasionally.

Usually this turn check is "aha, he has an overpair, no way he can resist betting this and then he's going to call me all the way down, awesome!!!!" so I check this turn quite a bit when I know I will want to call down. I am not saying it's the best play; however, I know that if I bet and get check-raised, I am 1) losing and 2) too stubborn to fold.

i might find a check on the turn.

he bet/3bet the flop, and checked when the top pair connected.

He either has JJ-KK and is afraid YOU have a T, or he has JT, TT, or some other crap that is going to c/r.

I think the fact he is scared of the T would make me bet.

I'd probably bet here, and call down.

you have 6000 posts, and yet you don't understand capping the flop here is ridiculous?

He's going to bet the turn 100% of the time, or, c/r you with the nuts. Call and raise the turn and get some double bets in there.

it is far from ridiculous. we are in position and he is not checking JJ-KK 100%.

Some people like to wait for the turn, i find that i can cap and pop a turn bet a lot in this spot.

Also, you have 4800+ posts and can not see that i have 6800+ posts? But at least you spelled ridiculous right.

also, when someone (op do not take offense but) doesn't know what to do with a hand like this in a spot like this, they should really be taking a more straightforward line more often. so i would always tell OP to cap flop.

id rarely cap the flop here fwiw danza unless I thought villain was really spewey and bad and I really would still want to raise a turn lead from him and expected him to lead after my cap with many worse hands and calldown... kinda rare to come across I think?

At this particular site there is no cap in HU-pots. But anyway I usually call 3-bet and raise turn with very strong without a strong read that indicates that I can get more bets in the pot by 4-betting (or cap) flop.

In retrospective I think my turnbet is stupid and I should have heard the alarmbells and checked behind and called river. Damn you triggerhappy indexfinger!
