I think its a great idea, because if I need help with a problem. I would think about this website instead of trying to find a website specific for my problem. Although I guess I could go to google, but google is not that specific, to give you advice on a specific question.

Also, if someone has a problem and they go to your website, then if another user knows of a good site to answer his question he can post a link to the site.

I think it would be a great site, but would need a lot of people so that a lot of people go there and post solutions so that you can guarantee that if someone goes there, they'll find a solution to their problem.

The poll closes in two days and it isn't looking good. Almost 3:1 against.

I like the idea of the new forum. I think that a moderator would be very necessary as the advice can't be coming from just anyone anymore. It needs to be from an expert.

I'd rather see the left-hand category "navigation" cleaned-up before adding another forum.

From a usability standpoint, it's pretty bad.

I've been thinking for a while that a forum like this would be good. A forum I used to visit had this and it was rather useful.

On a forum the size of 2+2 your post would fall off the front page in 10 minutes though...

I think this would be a great idea under one condition, and that is you specify who the "experts" are for a specific topic and them, and only them, can post replies. Otherwise it will be no different that your other forums and we'd have to sift through all of the responses of the self proclaimed comedians in this forum who will add their sarcastic comments, wise-ass responses and personal insults. You'll get threads going back and forth between the same posters exchanging barbs. That completely takes away from the value of such a forum.

So if you can keep the responses to those that actually answer the questions, then YES, I see great value in such a forum.

I'd like a forum where I could get expert legal advice.

I have two suits, one worth $500K and one worth $50-500B (and I'm not even joking, it's one of the world records I hold).

PM me if you know about fiduciary duty in the jurisdictions north of the border.
