Daut,

Nice job on that email. One thing I want to point out though is this:

[ QUOTE ]
Firstly, having a large amount of shortstacks significantly tightens up the games because whenever you have a shortstack behind you, you have to worry about him going all in, so opening raise ranges become much tighter, which result in much more boring and uneventful games.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think that should be included in the email. This, in isolation, is a GREAT thing for the site, although bad for most players. Tight, boring, uneventful games = more hands, more rake.

If we were going to include it, there should be a reason (eg. multitabling regulars sitting out, or moving to a different site, etc.)

I play low stakes nl games and am annoyed at shortstackers too. I am sure that there would be plenty of people that play lower stakes feel the same way. If you got people from all stakes sending an e-mail to up the min buy to 40 BBs it will more likely happen.

I think the sense of entitlement of some of the people that have posted in this thread is almost surreal, this is online poker, people use software and tools beyond most players imaginations to create an uneven playing field...[ QUOTE ]

Why do you buy in max if apparently ratholing is advantageous? Last I checked, poker is all about the money. Its not about just playing a friendly card game...

Oh thats right, because buying in max is optimal for your style of play. Well guess what, ratholing is optimal for their styles of play.

Adjust when needed? Thats what I heard all the greats do.

Evidently using huds and poker tracker and poker stove and posting on 2p2 and chatting on aim with friends all in efforts to win money at poker are not enough. He needs to whine about the current system because there are a couple irritating short stacks at his table. boo friggin hoo.
