I would raise the flop but if he had a higher set, yes nothing u can do

If it was a straight, a flop raise could have kept that from occurring

My reason for flat calling flop was that i think a lot of the time with him raising UTG hes going to have 2 big cards so i didnt want to scare away AK AQ etc.
Is the flat call here really that bad?

I think this is a good line. if villain is aggro- i'll donk bet hoping for a reraise. Call the rr and check push turn.

As played, I like getting as much $$$ in the middle on the turn. If he has a higher set- well, f-it and reload.

Think you played hand fine IMO.

Lead flop and either b/3b or call/CRAI turn.

Yes, you are always going broke here.

I like to check/call the flop here, if Villain is aggro and an overcard comes on the turn, you might get another street of value from him by c/raising a second barrel. This flop is so dry that a check/raise screams that you have a set imo. For the same reasons I don't like to lead unless you have a read that either one of them will call you light.
I'm not sure whether a lead or a c/r is better on this turn ?
Oh and obviously nothing you can do if you're up against a higer set, Villain might go broke with an overpair here.

Not horrible, but I think you're taking the wrong strategy. You have a monster, you should be thinking about how to stack overpairs, not concentrating on trying to induce 2- and 3-street bluffs from UI overcards (especially when out of position).

And yeah, I go bust here too.
