if you have 100 hands against a -1BB/100 loser; the chances of him being up is not far from 50%. if that same player plays 1.6M hands, the chances are close to zero.


in a random 250k hand database of mine, ill only have > 1k hands against a tiny fraction of the people in there. and when i do have >10k hands against someone, it's almost always because they're also playing professionally.

My PT database shows 41% winners and 59% losers at the FTP micro cash games.

Yes, that's right.

I started wondering this when I started datamining. Datamining is a tedious job though, the computer is always lagging and software's crashing, so I didn't get any good statistics...

But someone should have done it.

my DB says 40% over about 3million hands.

Last year i looked it was 25%

All at NL$25, no idea for higher - dont mine there.

The problem with asking for a percentage is that many MANY players will deposit $50 once and never deposit again.

Edit: or three times or whatever, but there are so many players with only a couple hundred hands that are now playing play money, and these players are lumped into the 'loser' category.
