Re: How to play 2nd nut flush?
Tough spot, especially with the redraw. I call the turn and probably (given stack sizes) call any bet on the river here if it doesn't pair, though that may be a spew.
Folding flop would be very weak - you'll be laying down the best hand the vast majority of the time. If you're going to fold, the turn is the right place to do it, but you've got a good price here and an underrepresented hand. The lack of position doesn't help. Any reads? |

folding the flop is horrible. i'd call turn and revaluate river.

Re: How to play 2nd nut flush?
If I call the turn, you realize I will have $11 behind and the pot will be $50?
What do you mean by re-evaluating the river - check-folding getting 6:1? Wazz - I don't think the straight flush redraw really makes a lot of difference since it's a 1-outer. |

Re: How to play 2nd nut flush?
if you call turn you see the hand through. your hand is underrepped and J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] prolly thinks he is good here. but i don't really like a calldown, though.
what do you guys think about showing strenght on the flop? like bet pot or check-raise to ~$15 and give up to further aggression? this way we have a better idea were we are with our hand. |

Without reads shove turn. His range is pretty big.

Re: How to play 2nd nut flush?
UTG flop bet really looks like a set. Since you called his pot bet on the flop, he Knows you've at least a flush ( whatever if it's a small one or not)
On the turn he bet only 1/2 pot, for me that's doesn't looks like a value bet but more like a blocking bet who wants to protect his set for drawing a river full house. You can't call anymore here since you have 11$ left, it's a Shove or fold. I probably shove and pray.. |

Re: How to play 2nd nut flush?
You really think a set would bet into 3 players on this board? Then bet again when he could take free card on the turn?
To me, half pot on the turn looks exactly like a value bet. In his position with the nut flush I would certainly be betting around half pot to try to get calls from worse flushes. |

Re: How to play 2nd nut flush?
What if instead of calling the flop you raise it and see if he re-raises you or just calls. That's what I would think of doing in order to try and see whether he has nut flush. Is this wrong? If he re-raises me I would fold.
