I watched it for the first time recently with my friend based on the reviews from this thread. As predicted, we both thought it sucked.

watch it again. your mind doesn't know how to process this movie the first time around - it's too busy trying to wrap itself around the meaningless plot to understand how hilarious everything is.

if it's bad after the 2nd time, you suck.

At one of the Lebowski Fests, the winner of the costume contest was Lennon/Lenin. Half of his body was Lennon and half was Lenin.

Oooohhh...good question. I'm not too far from there and would love to have a reason to make the trip. A Lebowski Fest/Caesars Indiana 2+2 meet-up would be beer and boobs.

The only part I dont like about that movie is when he is drugged and he has that over the top dream scene. It was just to much for me.

Everything else was genius.

I went to the one in Austin with my wife and brother and we had an absolute blast. My brother dressed as the Man in the Black Pajamas and my wife and I were Eyeball to Eyeball.

It was at a bowling alley and pretty much everyone there was dressed up and drunk off of white Russians. We all bowled drunk and the entire place was just a throng of TBL quotes.

The guy who won the costume contest was dressed in a red bodysuit with giant scissors, like the nihilists in the dream sequence.
