Default Miccosukee Casino in Miami - Anyone been there?

First off, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I just wanted to ask if anyone has been to this poker room, as I will be there this early December, and would like to know what to expect, or if there is a better place to head to. I will most likely be looking for 1/2 NLHE, Omaha Hi/Lo, or any tournaments they may run (especially the tourneys). If you have been there and can just give me an idea of your impressions of it...you know...is the rake outrageous, do they have a good spread of games, is it a stocked pond of fish, is the structure decent on any of there tournaments.

Thank you in advance for any help, info, or advice offered.

I don't know how helpful this will be, but I've been to Miccosukee once and my experience was pretty much what I had expected. It was a week day and they had two 2/5 NL games going. I played in one of them for several hours. Maybe 3 nits, 2 OK players, and the rest very bad. They didn't have shuffle machines at tables and I found the dealers to be rather slow. I don't remember much about the rake but I'm sure it wasn't outrageous otherwise I would've remembered.

Talk about outrageous rake, at Hard Rock Hollywood, they were taking $7 time charge for every dealer, which is why I would stay away from that place.

I have not tried other poker rooms in Florida, but I heard a few people talking about a place in Pompano that's worth checking out.
