Also, when a paint card pairs their door they will often have trips, meaning that here there is no reason to slowplay on 4th unless you hate money.

If he has trips, how much action do you think he gives me? I think getting four bets in on fifth is plenty good. In a bigger game where aggro spew is more likely I might push harder. Mostly I'm the only one doing that at 3/6.

I agree with Logic that it really looks like Seat 2 has a two-way flush/low draw. I would bet the river to get paid by the open kings but if Seat 2 raises you are toast.

Yep. Seat 1 had the other two eights down and paid off, and Seat 2 had 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], caught a ten on the river, and made a ludicrous overcall.

Lots? Especially on 4th.

He wasn't the one putting in the raises on 5th. The other guy was, and with good reason. You basically let everyone else catch up to the point where your monster holding is now vulnerable. What you should have done, IMO, is to play 3rd like you would do with any Ace door hand you would play (that is, complete and/or raise), and then possibly act like you bricked on 4th and have a busted hand, depending on what everyone catches.

I limp with an Ace in the door pretty frequently. Limp/raising is fun.

It's fun, but few will oblige and complete the bet after an ace limps in.

I really don't like the way this was played. What hands do you ever open limp with when you have an Ace door? Also, when a paint card pairs their door they will often have trips, meaning that here there is no reason to slowplay on 4th unless you hate money.

A low hand might open limp in early position with an ace door card, looking for a multiway pot. I don't think the limp is suspicious.

You've never played $30/60 stud/8 at Canterbury Park.

I would assume a limp by an ace in early position is usually a low only hand that wants multiway action or a marginal hand. If someone raises with an ace open limper, they may have a hand that is about even with split aces and is easier to play.
