Default 5/10 AQs 3-bet pf, check flop, fold river

Villain is 18/10/2.9 (river aggression 1.63). Firstly: he instantly raises pf, and he's a tight raiser, how bad would folding/calling pf be? I felt he probably had a strong hand, but 3-bet anyway, and postflop wanted to play very cautiously. River bet really looked like a vb to me.

I prefer a call preflop.

you look SO weak here, i hate checking the flop here and you put yourself in an awful spot

as played i think its read dependent but id lead towards call b/c youre so underrepped and he can be just trying to blow you off thehand

PF raise s/b a bigger raise or a call.
I dont mind the check on the flop there arent many cards that will hurt you. But based on the fact that you have shown no postflop strength you cant seriously consider folding the river. What did you hope to hit? This is an automatic call, if he has KK or AA so be it,

I like the flop check, because you look weak, if you are behind you will save money and if he has JJ- than he may think he is good.

Doesn't the flop check look like it might be slowplaying? What would he be bluffing with, big bets on turn and river? AK? Looks more like AA/KK that thinks I'm gonna call to showdown after the flop check..

Do you also check flop with AA or KK?

Either raise more PF or call.

Flop check is fine, it's nearly always a way ahead or way behind situation. You've induced a bluff on the turn so a call is fine, on the River it's upto previous history if you think he will fire another barrel.
