Though I like the pre-credit thing, seems like it'll screw over both the site and a lot of degen players using this option. I think they should verify you have the money before crediting your account. I know it says 7 days, but it deducted from my account in about 3 days. Right now anyone can deposit without having any money and hope to run it up big or something.

How is this different then before? Stars was using echecks before neteller pulled out. Neteller also had insta-cash as well. In addition, all of these processors require at least the last four digits of your SSN (with the additional info you give can easily obtain the first five digits) and this processor requires you to give your entire SSN.

I'm sure when you give your info, the system pulls up basic credit info for an initial computerized screening; if it passes, you get the cash. This is conjecture on my part, of course, but I'm sure they're not just fronting cash to any degen with busted credit. It even says on their page something about qualifying by not having any history of bad EFTs, so they must be doing some type of screening in the 20 seconds it takes for the money to get to your account. Perhaps one of the Stars reps would like to chime in?

I never had to get cash on since Neteller, so I wasn't aware of how they worked. I just thought the precredit thing opens up a lot of degens who bust their roll only to try to get it all back by gambling and not paying if they lose etc. Good for the poker economy I guess, but might make for some pretty bad publicity.

I checked to see if I could withdraw using e-checks again (I used this method to deposit and withdraw in the past) and I was told in an e-mail from PokerStars that I would need to re-deposit using this method in order to use it to withdraw because they have changed processors. I do not know if I would need to resend all of the documents they ask for.

Looks like I'm waiting till the next Stars bonus in God knows how many months so I can use this method to deposit, then withdraw again. I also have no problems with getting a check from Stars, it's just this method is sooooooo easy to get funds instantly in your bank account.

My credit union works but that's no surprise, after my $25 deposit clears I'll w/d the balance since I only play the Million and I can just deposit right before.

Hmmmmm.... I received this email from Pokerstars after having cashed out via eChecks. However, I don't see the money in my bank account yet. I've sent them an email to see what the deal is.

Crushin,

It's most likely there already and your bank might not have it as available yet. I had the same issue using an ING.

So they estimate 72 hours to get to the point I'm at now (it took less than a day), and then up to another 7 days to hit the actual bank account.

I e-mailed asking about if I have to resend documents if I want to deposit using that method (I have deposited and withdrawn in the past) - they said they still have all my info on file, so I am able to deposit again if I wanted to without sending anything else.
