Default Re: EDF: Evaluate my potential band\'s setlist

FWIW, I am in a very similar situation, but maybe 3 months ahead of you. Band got back together after almost 10 years or so. Here is our current list (we have 3 guitars, but it's more like 2 1/2 cuz the singer isn't allowed to play when he sings due to the fact that he screws up too much).

Talk Dirty to Me - Poison
Every Rose Has its Thorn - Poison
8675309 - Tommy Tutone, but punked up a bit
Far Behind - Candlebox
Rockin Into the Night - 38 Special
Sweet Child o Mine - GnR
Shakin - Eddie Money
Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
Have a Nice Day - Bon Jovi
Simple Man - Skynyrd
Rockin In the Free World - Neil Young
Sympathy For the Devil - Rolling Stones
Times Like These - Foo Fighters
I Ran - Flock of Seagulls (but we kinda punk this one up too)
One - Creed

Pretty much your standard classic rock stuff at this point. We are all 40 +/- 3 so it's in our comfort zone. I think we need a few more rockers and/or a couple less ballads, but as a guitarist I get a chub over playing the solos on the cool '80s power ballads, so I'm conflicted, lol.

Your list is pretty killer and I am prolly going to steal a few tunes if you don't mind. I do agree with the one guy that Down By the River will put everyone to sleep. Go with something like Mansion on the Hill or Powderfinger instead.
