Default Squeezing after limping

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Hero ($8.80)
Button ($10.50)
SB ($12.45)
BB ($5.22)
UTG ($8.43)
MP ($7.02)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.05, MP calls $0.05, Hero calls $0.05, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $0.37</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls $0.30, MP calls $0.30, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2</font>

My image is probably quite LAG, although I've had the cards. Lost one big pot through my own stupidity.

All players seem pretty solid - I'm at the wrong table really

Who likes the squeeze? What about a raise first time round?

I like to raise the first time around. As played just call. This is a perfect spot for you to hit a set. Your implied odds are big and your relative position is excellent.

If you must do this then make a much bigger raise, like $3 or even $3.50 to increase your FE. I'd like this play more with 74o.

Unless your table image is fishy, any thinking player would know you don't have a hand you can call a push with. If I were SB, and I thought you weren't a total donk, I would move in on you, knowing you can't call.

I think Slanksy's rule of not turning a bit hand into 72o applies here. Just calling the second time round gives you great implied odds to hit your set. In a raised 4-way pot at this level you are going to get paid off a lot of the time.

Squeezing here with 8's removes this value. You are either going to re-raised by SB and have to fold and at this level, you are likely to get 3 callers. As kit says, if you must make this play, do it with junk and make the raise bigger. It is likely the raiser (who raised over 3 limpers) is going to call a $2 bet and if he does I think we are going to get a domino effect.
