BB checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets t350, BB calls t350, MP3 raises to t2300

Unfortunately no real reads on villain yet. He seemed passive: limped a lot, gave up on flop. But we are only like 25 hands into the tourney.

Is this 33 / A5 / 66 - 88 / flush draw often enough to call/push? (Taking into account the level of play in this tourney)

Bet more on the flop (500 seems about right). I think this is a draw often enough to make this a +EV call. It could be also 66/77/88 and maaaaybe A5 (if villian is a donk).

yeah, you need to bet more on the flop here and then call his CR.

No one thinks villain could have limped with 22/44/55, and now got worried that 2 people are in his pot? This feels like a big hand and I would probably fold and look for a better spot. You cant forget that the BB is also in the hand either.

Thanks for your thoughts.

The purpose of this post, which I didnīt point out cleary, is to help me adjusting to this medium buy-in level.

In a $10/$20 I am ahead of an average villainīs range. Against good thinking opponents Iīm behind (the only hands I could hope for here would be AdXd with X<9 or 7d6d, which I am both behind but getting the right price). What about here?

My dilemma is the following: the play in the early stages is pretty gruesome. I actually had to adjust to it, so I had to call in the given situation. But then I would go broke too often with an overpair in a hand with lots of action in a $50 tournament, which puts me on the bad side of the field.

So should I pass up possible +eV situations to wait for good reads? I mean, the passive limper could have had 33 every hand he played and be not a bad player after all.

I might comment on my bet sizing later, but thatīs a different subject.

If you're fairly certain that villains range is weighted heavily toward 22-88 then you can play the hand with the standard WA/WB line of check behind flop, call a turn bet and re-evaluate on the river.

I prefer taking the more aggressive line of betting the flop intending to call a check-raise. You'll see enough draws and overpairs that you are beating here to make it profitable.
