Default FTP $24 - standard shove ITM?

The button is a pretty reasonable regular, 19/10 over 200 hands.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t250/t500
3 players

Stack sizes:
Button: t4060
SB: t1355
Hero: t8085

Pre-flop: (3 players) Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Button calls t500 (pot was t750), SB folds, SB folds, Hero raises all-in t8085

I usually don't make such an aggro play ITM but I see the value in it. Button SHOULD fold a ton of hands here as SB only has 2BB. A lot of the time ppl are just happy to make it ITM and will limp/call of their stacks once they've cashed. BTN is pretty tight and since you say he's reasonable and has at least some of a pfr% I think it's a good spot. I certainly would not make this play vs like a 30/5 or something loose/passive.

Without a specific read that he limps the button with <10 bbs, I'm generally assuming that a sudden limp rather than a correct push means he's got a monster and is hoping for a push from at least the SB. This would be a much better play on the bubble.

Also, why does it say SB folded twice?

The "numbers" say he should fold everything but KK and AA, but knowing that and acting on it (even if he does know it) are 2 different things. With this situation, unless he has shown that he is willing to limp A LOT, I am taking the free flop...I smell a rat here.

I like the play a lot. Unless you have a read as to why he would limp, this is a great move.

The read is inherent in that he is a reasonable regular. What reasonable regular limps with <10BBs? To me, this is so often a monster that it's super-marginal at best, and showing down 52o as a resteal is terrible for metagame, especially since you probably play with this guy pretty often.

I am folding.
